The Kiddo Takes Over: 10 Ways to Be Kind

For today’s post, my soon-to-be-9-year-old daughter is taking over the blog!

When I told her I needed a blog post for the letter “K” to continue my A to Z blogging challenge, she immediately said, “KINDNESS!” So, I asked her if she wanted to write the post, and she said, “YES!” and immediately got to work. This is her list, with no input from me, aside from a few spelling corrections for clarity, which are marked with a * (because, former English teacher y’all).

I know I’m her mama, and I’m biased, but this little girl is truly is one of the sweetest, kindest, and most thoughtful people on the planet. I’m so very proud of the person she is becoming. This is her very first published post; I’m sure there will be more to come.

10 Ways to Be Kind
by Ella:

  1. One way to be kind is helping others.
  2. A way to help is by picking something up if it falls.
  3. Other way to help is to help them get up.
  4. If a bully is *bothering them, stand up for them.
  5. You can feed your pet for Mom or Dad.
  6. Help Mom or Dad do the dishes if *they’re tired.
  7. Get the table set up for them.
  8. Help cook *dinner for them.
  9. Give them a toy to play with if *they’re sad (when asked for clarification, she meant friends, not parents)
  10. Help them reach something for them.

Here’s her original draft, complete with artwork. I love her creativity!
