Hallowboo at Idlewild

If you’re looking for a fun Halloween outing that your entire family can enjoy, you’ll want to check out HALLOWBOO at Idlewild, which has been voted “Best Kids Park in the World!”

HALLOWBOO is the same Idlewild you know and love, but with a family-oriented Halloween twist! Running weekends through October 28, the event is a great alternative to scarier, spookier Halloween festivities that may frighten small children. In fact, HALLOWBOO is perfect for kids of all ages—even the littlest ones!

At HALLOWBOO, your kiddos can trick-or-treat through Story Book Forest, mingle with costumed characters, and enjoy themed rides and attractions like the Monster Maze and the “Boo Express Railroad,” where you can count ghosts as the train winds through Idlewild’s forest! There’s even a make-your-own s’mores tent, complete with hot cider! The list of open rides and attractions can be found here!

Kids can also meet Princess Lily and Daniel Tiger and enjoy a Jack-o-Lantern JIVE dance party at the Hillside Theater!

Costumes are encouraged but not required! In fact, on the day we visited, we were having an unseasonably warm day (85 degrees in October!) so we skipped the costumes and opted for festive Halloween T-shirts instead.

HALLOWBOO operates on Saturdays and Sundays only through October 28. Gates open at 11:30 a.m. and the park closes at 6 p.m., with rides and attractions starting at noon. Times are subject to change without notice and may change due to weather conditions. Be sure to check the Idlewild website for the most up-to-date info!
